EXPLORE NEIGHBORHOOD OF THE ARTS WITH ROCHESTER BRAINERY AND WRITERS & BOOKS!

EXPLORE NEIGHBORHOOD OF THE ARTS WITH ROCHESTER BRAINERY AND WRITERS & BOOKS!

The city of Rochester is without a doubt, one of the most vibrant, exciting, and eclectic cities around. Among Rochester’s many amenities, the city itself can be considered a cultural hub for enriching and leisurely activities for friends, couples, and families. There are a wide variety of cultural options and attractions that provide third places for fun, enriching, engaging, and even intellectual experiences for residents and visitors. Among these places for cultural enrichment is Rochester’s metropolitan Neighborhood of the Arts (NOTA), which encompasses a fifteen-block stretch of local museums, businesses, art schools, galleries, and studio spaces—it’s also the neighborhood Rochester Brainery is proud to call home!

Have you ever wanted to explore NOTA for yourself? Well, we have a pretty spectacular event coming up that will allow you discover or re-discover the rich culture and vibrancy of Rochester in a whole new light—all while having a little bit of fun at the same time!

Sunday Fun Day!

In just a few short weeks, we’re thrilled to be partnering once again with our friends over at Writers & Books to bring you and your friends a pretty exciting weekend excursion! Join us on Sunday, July 12 for our “Sunday Fun Day Scavenger Hunt” through the Neighborhood of the Arts. Grab a group of your friends or colleagues to assemble a team or come on your own for an afternoon of exploration, music, food, and fun!

The hunt will begin at 2pm at Rochester Brainery where you and your team can sign-in and receive your clues. The clues will then lead you on an adventure through local NOTA businesses, ending at Writers & Books at 4pm. But the fun doesn’t end there! Following the scavenger hunt, the rest of the afternoon will be filled with music, entertainment, and delicious food until 6pm in the back parking lot of Writers & Books. Oh, and did we mention prizes? Individuals and teams who successfully complete the scavenger hunt will automatically be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a goodie bag filled with NOTA merchandise! If that hasn’t convinced you yet, may we also mention that the Le Petit Poutine and Eat Me Ice cream food trucks will be there for the celebration along with tastings from Black Button Distilling?

Aside from the food and entertainment, local vendors Transit Apparel, Brittany Leigh Jewelry and Gods-n-Gladiators will be there selling some pretty sweet Rochester swag. What better way to show your Rochester pride by incorporating ROC-themed apparel into your everyday wardrobe? Hopefully by now, we’ve convinced you to join us! To register, head on over to our registration page. Also, for all you social media savvy, make sure to tweet, Facebook, or Instagram all of your posts and photos from the scavenger hunt using the hashtag #BrainsandBooks

It's shaping up to be a fantastic day. So convince all of your friends, form a team, and we’ll see you on July 12!
